Bio
Sweat Entertainment is an independent record label and creative stable based in North East London. Label founder Peter Jarrett has spent 15 years working as a producer and A&R for major record labels. His credits span a range of work, including artists Half Moon Run, Dream Wife, Betsy, and Lao Ra, alongside BBC Sound Of nominees AlunaGeorge and the now-defunct NYC band Friends. His previous consultancy roles have included positions at Mercury Records, Universal Publishing, ATC Management, Rocket Music, and a producer/A&R hybrid role with ‘Sony Black Butter’. Additionally, he has consulted for leading advertising agency, ‘72 and Sunny’, where he worked as a Senior Brand and Creative Manager, developing passion point strategies for Unilever brands, including a partnership between Martin Garrix and Axe (aka Lynx).
After years of working with artists frustrated with the major label ecosystem, Sweat Entertainment was born from the premise that an artist's success should be derived from their creative fulfillment. At our core, we aim to uplift and represent a diverse range of artists, and we are proud of our history of nurturing talent from the ground up. Our ambition to impact pop culture will lead us to expand beyond music in 2024, with plans to venture into visual media. In December 2023, we launched our first merch drop, featuring a collaboration with illustrator Isabel Mehta.
We've been building out a highly engaged playlist ecosystem for our Indie roster and now we want to share submission opportunities for other artists.
