The idea for Acoustic Tides came on a tropical island in Thailand, while looking for the perfect playlist to accompany the beautiful sunsets on the ocean, beach runs, and all the moments in between. The five playlists through which I will do this are: - Surf Indie Rock: a collection of indie rock, uptempo indie, surf rock and alt pop tunes that are perfect for a beach run! - Sunset Walks: a sweet selection of indie, downtempo indie, indie folk, acoustic, singer songwriter tracks. - Wavy Beats: a flowy mix of chill and jazz hop, lofi, instrumental, nu jazz, downtempo, trip-hop and neo soul jams. - Neoclassical flow: a mixture of solo piano, (neo)classical and ambient music. - Hiphop Waves: a laid-back and chill collection of oldschool, conscious, boombap, alternative and jazz hiphop My name is Chiara, I’ve played the piano since I was a kid, and had the pleasure to work with local venues and events through my work as a graphic designer. I love discovering new music, and I am excited to give a platform to upcoming and independent artists, and to share their work through acoustic tides’ playlists. My goal is to help artists find new listeners, and help listeners discover new and exciting music. If a submitted song fits one of my playlists, I will be happy to feature it on a playlist and keep it there in the top 25 for at least a month. If the song isn’t a match, I will provide constructive and honest (and of course kind) feedback that explains my decision. My feedback will be informed by my personal music knowledge, gathered by years of studying and experiencing music.
