NETRADIO was launched in Lille (Hauts de France) on March 21, 1999 by Christophe MARCY (radio/TV host and journalist) and Abdel Raouf DAFFRI (screenwriter of the film "A Prophet", the 4 seasons of the series "Braquo" and "Confidential Alger"). As the very first digital radio station in Europe, NETRADIO received strong media exposure right from its launch (TF1, Libération, Europe 2, etc.). Quickly, NETRADIO was broadcasted by satellite on Eutelsat and was picked up on the TPS bouquet. The team quickly grew with renowned hosts such as Manu LEVI (NRJ), Laurent PETITGUILLAUME (Radio France), Supernana (Skyrock), Sandrine VENDEL (Ouï FM), Éric LANGE (Europe 2), Pierre DECAUNES (M6), Miguel DERENNE (France Bleu), Michael PACHEN (Vivacité) and many others. NETRADIO received funding from the LIBERTYSURF group in 2000 and 2001 before the burst of the "Internet bubble". Our radio station, broadcasted in DAB+ in Monaco and throughout the French Riviera (from Menton to Antibes) and via the MonacoSAT satellite in Europe and Africa, offers music programming that is 90% composed of independent artists.
