Mônica Agena is a Brazilian guitarist, songwriter and music producer. She is best-known for playing the guitar along with mainstream and midstream artists such as reggae band Natiruts, rapper Emicida and Fernanda Takai. Her experience as a recording guitarist on DVDs and albums produced by renowned professionals, such as Liminha (BR), Mad Professor (UK), Miranda (BR) and the like has given her the necessary know-how to roll out her own productions. Tokyo Beat is her studio in São Paulo, where she has composed soundtracks for advertising campaigns for TikTok, Dodge RAM, Intermarine Yachts and artists such as rapper Rael, former MTV VJs Cassis, artists on the rise such as Marissol Mwaba, Gali Galó (a reference in the Brazilian Queernejo movement, a kind of country queer) and others. Twice nominated for best music producer at the WME Awards (Women's Music Event 2019 and 2020), she was also selected as one of the music producers for the Spotify Brazil project "Escuta as Minas" - which aimed to increase the participation of women in the music industry .
