120dB Bogotá is an independent music media outlet dedicated to spotlighting the most vital sounds emerging from Colombia and Latin America. Based in Bogotá, we specialize in long-form music journalism, artist features, and curatorial projects that bridge the underground and the global. Over the past eight years, we've built a loyal audience by offering deep, narrative-driven coverage of alternative scenes—electronic, tropical, experimental, and beyond—often giving a first platform to artists who go on to play festivals or tour internationally. Our editorial voice is precise, informed, and unafraid to dig deep. We collaborate with musicians, labels, festivals, and independent initiatives across the continent to produce features, interviews, and playlists that reveal the artistic and cultural forces shaping the region’s sound. We’ve also developed a reputation for writing with historical and musicological insight—connecting today’s releases with decades of sonic lineage.
