Founded in 1994, his record label, Guilt By Association Records, takes no money from artists, instead serving as a coaching platform and resource for new artists to develop their careers as independent artists.
Phil's book, titled "The Outback Musician's Survival Guide," won a readers' choice award after its 2017 publication. It tells his story with an eye toward giving every reader a sense of the life an independent artist. Critics loved its "grit and realism" and saw it as a lesson in life, whether you're a musician or not.
With more than 30 years working as an independent musical artist and nearly as long coaching other musicians, I am absolutely dedicated to being of service to the music community, wherever it exists.
