Gail Simpkins is a freelance event and production manager from Bradford, who holds several key roles to support Bradford’s ever-evolving local music scene. Gail holds nearly 20 years’ experience in owning & running award-winning music venues - including 2 of the largest venues in the district – using this role to bring international touring names to the city, whilst consistently supporting the development of grassroots musicians and artists, creating new & unique performance opportunities, and ensuring safe spaces and platforms for performers, partners and audiences alike. As founder of several significant events in the local calendar, Gail has spent over 10 years delivering both boutique and larger festivals and events across Bradford and beyond, bringing thousands of visitors to the district, and partnering with major media brands such as BBC Look North & Pulse 1 Radio, to name a few. I review singles, albums & live performances. I also run a live music venue, and I'm often looking for new touring bands, as well as production manager for several festivals in the area I work with a local radio show on regular shows, heading up the Women In Music element, as well as live reporting from events and festivals.
