Tom grew up in a musical home in Connecticut, and early in his teenage years began to play an old nylon-string guitar his sister had outgrown. Then, captivated by the Rolling Stones on TV, he acquired an electric guitar. On moving to San Francisco in his early twenties, Tom began to play guitar, bass and keyboards in various groups but concentrated on writing and producing songs, for his bands as well as other artists. He’s owned two recording studios, where he honed his producing and arranging chops. Most recently, Tom works out of a small studio in his home, and produces music for hiTrecords, a venture designed to showcase artists of all stripe. Finally, he has a popular local jazz group called the Jazz Beaus, who play in various venues around the Bay Area.
