Felipe Kim is a music producer and composer located @ São Paulo, Brazil. His career started in 2015 , as additional composer for the Oscar winning documentary 'Amy' and the TV show 'Felizes Para Sempre' for Brazil’s largest national broadcaster, Globo.
A self-taught musician, Felipe Kim started in the underground music scene in São Paulo, Brazil, playing guitar, bass and synthesizers. He went on to create tracks for theater plays until finally composing music for cinema.
He has since worked in international projects such as 'Self/Less', 'Shot Caller', 'Maradona' and 'Awake' as well as national productions, such as 'Chacrinha' and 'Entre Irmãs'. In addition, he has worked extensively with large streaming platforms Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in several popular shows. In 2016, Kim co-wrote the soundtrack for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
'Chacrinha: O Velho Guerreiro' in 2018 was a turning point in Kim’s career, as it was the first time he was credited as main composer to a feature-length film. The movie was awarded Best Picture in the Prêmio Brasileiro de Cinema, the Brazilian Cinema Awards, as well as nominated for Best Original Soundtrack.
From there, he had the opportunity to work with acclaimed director José Padilha (Elite Squad, Narcos) in one of the first original productions for Netflix Brazil, 'O Mecanismo'. The TV show became very popular, addressing the topical theme of the ‘Car Wash Operation’ investigating corruption within the highest ranks of the political class in Brazil, and went on to have two seasons.
Moreover, Kim is an independent musician, having launched his first EP 'Monumentos Modernos' on Spotify amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Finding himself working from home, Kim focused his creative energy during his off hours in writing his own music drawing from his life experiences. His music is highly contemporary, mixing traditional electronic and acoustic sounds with unusual ambiences and noises.

Ladies First' for streaming giant Netflix, 'Grand Pix Driver' for Amazon Prime Video and Alternative Film Festival award winning short film 'Cidade Inerte'. Outside of the TV and film industries, Kim also co-produced the track 'Saiba' by Brazilian singer Davi Sabbag.
In 2021, Kim composed the soundtrack for the Netflix documentary 'Pelé', about the legendary Brazilian soccer player. He also worked on the streaming platform’s upcoming series 'Crime Stories: India Detectives'.
