Muziekcentrum Dranouter is a venue that puts a focus in on folk, roots and (Western-)European traditional music. We program a diverse variety of genre’s but always with a strong link to European traditions. Generally we book singersong writer, (indie)folk, Americana, (alt)country, European traditional music (from Scandinavia via the Balkan to the British Isles and ending at the Mediterranean), … We hold concerts throughout the whole year, except Summer (July & August).

As maybe the biggest and most influential venue in Flanders and even Belgium for folk, roots and traditional music, we give ourselves the mission to not only promote gigs of bigger (national) as international names, but also give priority to young talent and experiment. We look for bands eg. that create their music out tradition but brings it to 2024 and who aren't afraid to colour out of the boundries of genres. So booking bands, but we also offer to young artist always feedback and give them tips to launch and how to survive in the music bizz.
