Emilie Ricciardi is a highly motivated professional with a strong background in the music industry. With a Master's degree in Music Business from Berklee College of Music and an undergraduate degree in Communications and Public Relations from Marist College, Emilie has developed a comprehensive skill set encompassing various aspects of the industry.
Currently serving as the General Manager at Briidge Inc., a music tech startup co-founded by industry professional Kara DioGuardi, Emilie plays a pivotal role in scouting emerging talent, acting as the primary A&R representative for the company. She actively seeks out promising artists and presents them to the CEO for potential signings. Emilie's dedication to fostering talent extends beyond scouting, as she has spearheaded a mentor series and a collaborative bootcamp program, allowing community members to receive valuable feedback from industry professionals and collaborate with each other. Her efforts also include organizing in-person partner events across major cities in the U.S., creating networking opportunities for artists, songwriters, and music creators. Emilie's experience in a startup environment has provided her with a diverse skill set, covering areas such as A&R, music publishing, branding, artist and songwriter session curation, and facilitating virtual collaborations. She plays a crucial role in driving company growth by formulating and executing effective strategies, developing systems, and creating business plans.
In addition to her role at Briidge, Emilie also manages the career of rising indie-pop artist Retrograded. She takes charge of various aspects of his career, including direct-to-fan marketing, press plans, and financial management. Emilie actively coordinates and books live shows, interviews, and press opportunities in the vibrant New York City music scene while connecting the artist with relevant industry professionals.
Previously, Emilie gained valuable experience at the LA-based boutique PR agency Dark Matter Media, where she provided administrative support to a Senior Publicist. Her responsibilities included managing and updating a substantial industry contact database, researching press opportunities, and assembling servicing and target lists for artist campaigns. This experience allowed Emilie to develop strong skills in monitoring artist activity in the media and effectively communicating with labels, management teams, and artists while maintaining a meticulous approach.
