Currently living between Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and in New York City, Joao Felipe Severo works as Programming and Arts Intensive Coordinator at City Parks Foundation SummerStage, New York City’s largest, free outdoor performing arts festival, taking place in Central Park and 17 neighborhood parks around the city, presenting approximately 100 performances for 200,000+ audiences annually.
Joao is also the Associate Director of Programming and Company Manager of Brasil Summerfest, the largest and most important international Brazilian music festival in the world. The festival showcases the finest selection of Brazilian music, ranging from traditional to contemporary styles.
Besides that, Joao is the director of Uhuuu! Music, an agency for international exchange, circulation and promotion of music from all around the world to all around the world. Joao acts and represents artists who wish to explore new territories and audiences. Working mainly in South America, North America and Europe, the company's focus is to connect professionals around the world to promote concerts, tours and potential partnerships with record labels, agents, promoters and the press.
