Solomans Archive

Media Outlet/Journalist, Selected DJ

My name’s Saul, and I’m a journalist and archivist working under the alias Solomans Archive. I have a deep passion for the history of UK underground electronic music — particularly Grime, Bassline, and Dubstep. Through Solomans Archive, I’ve built a space to celebrate and document these scenes and the artists who shaped them. On Instagram, I publish weekly carousel posts featuring fast, attention-grabbing visuals paired with in-depth 2,200-character write-ups that dive into the stories behind the music. Every post is handled entirely by me — from research and writing to design and layout — and it’s been a genuine pleasure to give so many artists their well-deserved flowers over the past year. The response has been incredible — with each post sparking discussion, shares, and engagement from both fans and artists alike. It’s rewarding to see people connecting with the history and passion that fuel these sounds. I’m very protective of the project’s vision — if something doesn’t fit, I won’t force it. Solomans Archive remains a pure passion project, driven entirely by my love for the culture and the music. Alongside the archival work, I’m also a music producer and DJ, best known as part of the production trio Gentlemens Club. Over the past decade, I’ve been fortunate enough to tour across 20+ countries, performing at some of the world’s biggest festivals and venues. Whether it’s digging for new tracks for a Gentlemens Club set or curating tunes for my Solomans Archive YouTube mixes, I’m always chasing that next sound that keeps the underground alive.
