James moved to Minneapolis in 2015 after spending 16 years in Austin, TX, where he attended the University of Texas and dedicated his life to a career in music after graduating. As a touring musician, James has performed in 35 states and 5 countries. James' resume of music industry experience includes artist booking and management as well as venue production and management. James currently serves on the board of directors for Twin Cities Catalyst Music. Previous board positions include the Austin Music Foundation, focused on career development and Austin Music People, an advocacy group for “bands, brands, and fans." In 2012, James and his business partners opened Holy Mountain, a 200-capacity bar and live music venue in Austin’s Red River Cultural District.
