Daniel Morelo was born in Vitória, an island in the southeast of Brazil, holds a degree in Communication with an emphasis in Advertising, a postgraduate degree in Strategic Communication Planning from the Methodist University of São Paulo, and a licentiate degree in Philosophy from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, as he has a post graduation in music in progress, as well as a MBA in AI. Since 2003, he has researched, organized, and developed various cultural projects, such as the management company MM Projetos Culturais, which since 2018 has produced Formemus – Formação Mercado Musical, the Marien Calixte Jazz Music Festival, the Prêmio da Música Capixaba, the Festival Musin – Música na Infância, manages the ArcelorMittal Choir, and provides consulting services in cultural management and music projects. As a curator, Daniel has served as a judge for the Paraíba Song Festival in 2020, curated the Essencial and Nova Cena Espírito Santo playlists for TIDAL, and the Capixaba Music Ecosystem for Banco do Nordeste in 2024, in addition to curating his own events. Daniel is currently a member of the State Council of Culture until 2025, having served three previous terms. He also works as a reviewer for state and municipal cultural funding programs, and is experienced in art direction, graphic production, radio production, DJing, emceeing, hosting, communication consulting, DJ workshops, and music industry introduction workshops. He is currently working on developing a new record label/publishing house in Espírito Santo. As a cultural producer, he was also an organizer of the Assédio Coletivo movement for six years, co-producer of the Festival Tarde no Bairro with over 20 editions, Libre Casa Coletiva (3 years), and Reviravolta Coletiva (3 editions). He was also the host and producer of the radio shows Sexta Vraum and Formemus FM for six years, and Sorvetinho FM for seven years on Universitária 104.7 FM. He also coordinated in the past, the micro-label Voadora Records, which produced the Coletânea Voadora, the zine #MurroNaCara, and the Festival Voadora, with six editions held.
