Alexandre Lopes (Scream & Yell collaborator)

Media Outlet/Journalist

I am a brazilian journalist (and musician and amateur luthier as well) with experience in music and culture media since 2004. I have written for websites such as Rolling Stone Brasil, UOL, Tenho Mais Discos que Amigos, Portal Virgula, Revista +Soma, DyingDays, Urbanaque, among others. I was one of the founders, curator and editor of Undergrations, a podcast specialized in the Brazilian indie scene, focused on alternative rock and experimental sounds. I am currently writing as a collaborator for pop culture brazilian website Scream & Yell, where I interview national and foreign independent bands and write concert reviews. In addition to all this, I occasionally provide press relations and booking services for original artists. PLEASE DON'T SEND ME AI SONGS. I can review your song/single/EP/album with my real impressions and advice about the music as well. If I find it interesting enough I'll add it to my personal playlist and follow the band on social media, and (if my editor approves and finds it relevant enough), we can schedule an interview for me to write an article about the artist. I usually share the songs I receive with friends and bands that I believe would have similar tastes to the artist. Also, we can expand networking with other brazilian bands and artists so you can try to book shows together.
