Gui Machado likes to take listeners on a journey through sound. His sets are always dynamic---reading
crowds and feeding from their energy as the night evolves. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Gui is inspired by
many diverse genres of electronic ...music which he blends seamlessly. With a long history djing since his
teenage years in Brazil, Gui has amassed a diversified music collection in analog and digital format
that has been cherished by dancers at big festivals and underground clubs alike. Gui founded a party
called This is the Way in NY where he has booked legends such as Daniel Bell, Jovonn, Fred P and
Brett Johnson in NYC. He is a resident at Golden Record NY and Public Hotel. Very confortable sharing
lineups with artists like Sweely, Dan Ghenacia, Traumer, John Talabot, James Murphy, Aline Umber,
Obee and John Talabot to name a few. In his 13 years living in NYC he has performed at the city’s
most important venues such as: Public Records, Le Bain, Resolute, Signal, House of Yes, Silencio, H0L0,
Public Hotels, Green Room. Outer Heaven, Nebula, Gospël, Jean’s, Knockdown Center and Signal. Outside of New York he has performed in many important festivals and venues like Garbicz Festival, Blue Marlin Ibiza, Burning Man, Robot Heart, Tikal, Lion's Den, and D-Edge. He recently released on Gene On Earth’s Nug-Net Label and another track on Banana Gold Records. In 2026 he has signed an EP on Karnak on Acid and is self- releasing another one on This is the Way.
