Since 1957, KXLU 88.9 FM has remained one of the few independent FM radio stations in Los Angeles, with deep roots in the independent music scene of the city. KXLU gave early exposure to artists such as Nirvana, Beck, The Beastie Boys, Phoebe Bridgers, Eyedress, and more.
