Numbers lie, quality doesn't.
This is the slogan of the NewTone media, which values emerging artists within a curious and engaged Hip Hop community. Fully dedicated to discovery, NewTone also offers educational content about the music industry for artists and young professionals in the field.
To promote the music of the artists we discover who align with our editorial line, we offer various types of content. This includes weekly discovery stories, bi-monthly curation posts, written interviews, reels, and even a collaborative playlist with the media Dose Rap.
Collaboration is central among our values. Thus, we organize collaborative concepts with other media outlets, such as the R&B week with Shimmya, the Tour de France, the Qualité Awards...
Our YouTube channel is primarily focused on educating about the music industry: topics like music video realities, press relations, and rap media are discussed for our community.
Regularly, NewTone hosts events for 150 to 400 people, both free and paid, featuring co-hosted shows, DJ sets, or clubs. These events are primarily held in Paris but also in other cities as part of our Tour de France, including Lyon, Brest, La Rochelle, and Lille.
NewTone offers various ways to showcase and promote artists when they catch our attention. Our formats are designed as a journey to guide artists from one point to another in their careers.
For an initial approach, dedicated to artists in the early stages of development, with a limited discography or whose quality has not yet reached its full potential, we focus on discovery stories.
For more significant favorites and artists who seem ready to be exposed to our demanding and engaged community, we primarily feature them through Instagram posts: curated discoveries, written interviews, and reviews. Our standards for quality in these features are high, and we usually reserve them for projects with a music video and a strong aesthetic.
NewTone regularly organizes events such as concerts, showcases, and artist co-billings. We schedule artists for whom we have a genuine fondness and who, in our opinion, have a sufficiently engaged audience to warrant their inclusion. We reach out to these artists ourselves but are open to suggestions based on the artistic direction we are developing for each event.
