In a very fast forward timeline, from 2007 I have started writing some papers about music copyright, became a lawyer, got a Master´s Degree and then finished a Doctorate in Law from USP (The University of São Paulo – SP) in 2018. Since then, just in 2019, I have founded Phonolite, a Brazilian company focused on copyrights and the music business, acting as a publisher and providing consultancy, courses and rights management for musicians, labels and all other music business professionals. Our name is the junction of the Greek word phonos (meaning sound) with an informal variant of light, usually meaning “being less complex.”, often used by tech companies. The idea of Phonolite is to make the music business and copyrights simpler. I'm passionate about supporting emerging artists and helping them gain exposure and recognition in the music industry.
