Hi there, I'm Max! After five years with Sofar Sounds - leading scouting, booking, curating, and artist development - I started my own label/distro, mendel! I also write a music discovery newsletter, Max's Music Mondays, on Substack. All of this work has kept me searching and listening for undiscovered music. Giving me hard-earned knowledge in every part of the industry, all of which I'd love to put to good use. I'm hoping to give feedback about both production and songwriting, offer critiques, find new references, marketing ideas, wherever I can be helpful. Most of my work is in the indie rock/indie folk world, but am a fan of everything.
