Paper Bag Records

Label

  • Top curator/pro
  • Very impactful

Paper Bag Records was founded in Toronto, Canada, in 2002. Its first release was the now iconic indie rock album, "You Forgot It In People" by Broken Social Scene. Since then its gone on to sign and break a wide array of artists from various genres including Tokyo Police Club, Austra, Stars, Rural Alberta Advantage, CFCF, Born Ruffians and many, many others. The label is deeply committed to working with genuine artists who veer away from the down-the-middle mainstream sound of the major labels, and instead focuses on supporting unique and impactful voices that it believes the world should hear.
