Whatnot Records

Label

Whatnot Records is a genre-defying independent music label that specializes in promoting, producing, and distributing experimental music in all its forms. From free jazz to contemporary classical to avant-pop and beyond, we push the boundaries of musical expression and creativity. Our mission is for our label to foster collaboration and dialogue among experimental musicians from diverse backgrounds, schools of thought, and cultures, resulting in groundbreaking and novel musical experiences. Our goal is to help promote experimental music whether you are an artist represented by our label or not. As such, we are happy to offer creative feedback and share music we find especially interesting to our social media accounts. Our standards are high, but VERY eclectic, so long as the music is experimental in nature. That said, since we are a label, we also are always on the lookout for promising unfinished projects from artists who may want to release them in album form! We are a small and new but passionate label when it comes to experimental music in all of its forms.
