Patricia Palumbo is a journalist and researcher. She has worked in radio for 40 years, inheriting her love for radio from her father and her talent for storytelling from her mother. She is a radio presenter, journalist, native of the coasta...l region of São Paulo (caiçara), and sailor. Awarded four times for her work in radio by APCA, best radio presenter by WME (Women's Music Event) in 2018, and honored at the Prêmio Profissionais da Música in 2021, she has presented the program Vozes do Brasil since 1998. Her experience in radio allowed her to create the innovative project Rádio Vozes in 2016, a large online podcast and music platform. It has been presented by Sesc Brasil since 1999. She has published three books, the most recent by Edições Sesc: Vozes do Brasil – Entrevista Reunidas com 33 artistas da música brasileira (Voices of Brazil – Collected Interviews with 33 Brazilian Music Artists). She has collaborated on several Brazilian music publications, including Brasilien Positionen, launched at the Frankfurt Book Fair during the Year of Brazil in Germany by the Goethe Institute.
She curates and consults on music. In 2020, inspired by the "infinitena" (a Brazilian slang term for a kind of creative block), she created her podcast Peixe Voador (Flying Fish), an intimate diary full of literature and poetry that began as a way to make the days of isolation lighter. She is the musical director of the film Luiz Melodia – No Coração do Brasil (Luiz Melodia – In the Heart of Brazil), released in 2024 and awarded best film at the IN-Edit Brasil festival.
