IME is the association that brings together Chilean independent electronic music.
Our associates are artists, musicians, producers, DJs, festivals, record labels, promoters, managers and other entrepreneurs that make up the main players in the independent electronic music industry in Chile.
We were legally constituted in July 2018, with the mission of collectively defending our interests and promoting the development of independent Chilean electronic music, as an active part of Chilean culture and identity and as a contribution to Chile’s cultural heritage. Particularly, we seek to promote the internationalization of our artists; the protection of the national independent electronic music phonographic catalogue; the defense of our members rights before public and private entities; the implementation of formative and diffusion activities; and, in general, the generation of spaces for associations and networks in search for the management of new initiatives.
