Bio and how they support artists
I am the A&R for LABEL Music Group, a sync-licensing focused record label and publishing company that helps artists multiply their revenue through creative development and sync representation.
We work with artists in a wide variety of genres, and have a track record of helping artists develop stable income streams with the detailed knowledge we have about the sync-licensing market.
LABEL deals include:
- A custom, data-backed creative direction that shows you how to win in sync
- Covered costs of creating, distributing, and promoting high quality music
- Full administration, collection, and payouts for the music we create together
- Optional back-catalogue sync representation
- The opportunity to make $100k+ per 10 song project
LABEL is known for having the best of the best when it comes to sync music, and I am always looking for new artists to work with. We have several artists on our roster earning $200k-600k a year, and we've helped many artists go from doing music part-time to full-time. If your music impresses me, there is a good chance that I will chat with you about a LABEL deal.
I'm looking for artists that make urban pop, alternative blues rock, soul/funk, energetic garage rock, singer-songwriter/folk, alternative pop, trailer music, classical, hip-hop/pop, uptempo electronic dance, soul-pop, and retro-soul. If you feel like your music is outside of that, send it to me anyway and I'll still give you feedback.
Overall, the music needs to have energy and capture particular emotions potently. The music has to move the listener to action. Some successful mood ideas include confidence, winning, love, power, adventure, and summer-time.
In the sync-licensing world, the music needs to be clean. So if you want LABEL to rep your music, make sure you have clean versions of any explicit songs. I prefer you send me the clean versions upfront. Please do not send me any ambient, house, or techno music.
Another passion of mine is helping artists navigate the music industry as a whole. With 13+ years of experience in the industry, I can offer advice and mentorship to emerging artists who are trying to figure out how to make a decent career for themselves.
I can give advice on:
- How to get started in sync-licensing
- Which category of sync-licensing to focus on
- Whether signing a label deal or remaining independent is right for you
- How to organize and manage your music catalogue
- How you should structure your splits with collaborators
- Maximizing the collection of your royalties
- How to elevate your brand to look and present yourself more professionally
- How to make your music better with feedback
My background involves music production, in-studio and live audio engineering, session musicianship as a drummer, content creation and design, music technology product development, and more. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music Production from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Certificate in Music Industry from New York University. Most importantly, I'm a follower of Jesus and I care deeply about treating people with dignity, love, and respect.
I look forward to hearing your music!
