Radio Canut was born out of the struggles for the liberation of FM broadcasting through several pirate radio stations. It is an association governed by the French law of July 1, 1901. Radio Canut is a collective in which all members share the same rights and responsibilities. They are the ones who make the radio, and in this sense, Radio Canut is a station open to everyone. However, far from passively tolerating every political stance, racist, colonialist, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic, and transphobic statements are strictly prohibited. Radio Canut respects freedom of belief but rejects religious proselytism. We invite artists to be part of the continuous broadcast. These are the musical slots that fill the airwaves when there are no scheduled programs.
